Morgan Law is recruiting for an Interim Head of Building Control, managing a team of approximately 20 staff and act as the go to for all Principal Building Control advise for one of our Local Government clients based in London.

Responsibilities include:

Manage a team of 15 building surveyors, ensuring programmes and projects are effectively manage and delivered on time Provide professional advice on building control related matters, as well as giving direction to other Council departments complex building methods and legislation.Oversee the provision of initial surveys, certification, emergency action regarding dangerous structures and provide the appropriate guidance.Work with senior stakeholders within the Planning & Transport Division, assisting with the formulation of policy and strategic planning for construction related services

Experience required:

Extensive experience working in Building Control at a senior levelTrack record managing teams and developing staffClass 3/4 building inspector

Work Pattern:

This is a Hybrid role with 2–3 days required on site in London
