What will my role look like?

Our Finance Fixed Assets team is growing and we have an exciting opportunity available for a Fixed Assets Accountant!

In this role you will be managing the Real Estate Finance service for the UK. Working with country accountants and analysts to primarily produce an accurate and timely fixed asset statutory note. This includes compliance to local GAAP accounting and IFRS group standards.

What would my main responsibilities be?

Reconcile and manage differences between FAR and Ledgers

Balance sheet review prep – understand the substantial quantity of transactions been traded

Produce Entity and consolidated view for country financials

Produce reconciled Fixed Assets note whilst managing the country financials / accounts

Prep monthly Fixed Asset Registers and Reconciliation to trial balances at Country and entity level

Control and capitalise Assets under construction, liaising with Country Finance teams and Project Managers to clear aged items

Journals to capitalise expenditure

Running depreciation of fixed assets monthly

Prepare all ledgers and registers with backing for the year end audits

Answer audit queries and consolidate to FC

Execute the Improving and documenting internal controls

Ensuring adherence to IFRS accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements

Adhere to a month end process and ensure strict deadlines are achieved to support group reporting requirements

Work with country teams to reconcile differences at beginning of month end and throughout month end

Work with analysts to clear down AUC, create gaining pro les and lead reporting on trapped Capex

Enhance existing reporting and develop business capability and interpretation of key operational performance metrics

Responsibility for Assets under Construction and Useful Economic Life – working with Group Data

Manager to review and repair

Management of a team of part qualified analysts

Develop analysts within the team conducting granular balance sheet reviews
