Our Client is seeking a Housing Repairs Project Manager for an initial 3–month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Start Date: ASAP – 3 Months contract

Pay Rate: 350.00 Per Day PAYE or 380.00 Per Day UMBRELLA

Location: ST4 1RN

Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00

Job Purpose:

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, implementing, and monitoring of our programme to reintegrate the repairs and maintenance service, currently an arms–length company back into council control and management.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Manage the day–to–day delivery of the Project, which covers the delivery of 8 workstreams established to ensure a smooth transition back to the council.Lead employee engagement activities including workshops, roadshows and internal and external messaging.Provide support and cover for the Programme Lead on the delivery of the programme; leading governance arrangements and day–to–day management of the workstreams.Ensure all due diligence activity has been completed and information is readily available and accessible.Drive forward stakeholder management across the project and build and continually maintain communication with stakeholders based on the communications strategy, which you will help to inform.Develop proposals for fit–for–purpose structures and lead the consultation processes.Provide project management expertise and support to the project governance arrangements involving the major stakeholders, staff, relevant professionals and other agencies.Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. law, public/business administration, finance, construction management) or equivalent practical experience.Practical experience and understanding of building maintenance and demonstrable technical knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance.Project or programme management qualifications (e.g. APM, MSP, Prince 2) or experience in programme/project management and change management, including the delivery of high–profile, complex and high–risk projects and programmes.Proven experience in managing repairs and maintenance services at a head of service level and/or experience in insourcing repairs and maintenance services.Experience working in a local government setting at a strategic level.Strong understanding of repairs and maintenance, policies, and procedures.Strong understanding of housing regulations, repairs and maintenance regulationsExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship–building skills.Effective leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and manage teams to achieve goals and objectivesDisclaimer: By applying for this role, you give consent for your information to be forwarded to our Client(s) and information of which may be retained within our databases therefore also agreeing to be represented by i–jobs with respect of the vacancy you're applying.
