About the job
Manage the patch in the Borough to an exceptionally high standard, meeting safety compliance criteria for privately rented accommodations.
To carry out inspections of privately rented properties to ensure the Council regulates the privately rented stock.Inspections of properties are required to identify hazards, defects, and non–compliance with property standardsPractical knowledge and skills sufficient to effectively carry out property inspections.Ability to take photographs, prepare reports, and record accurate contemporaneous notes.Proficient in managing and prioritising own workloads and meeting performance targets with minimal supervision.Good communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to demonstrate good presentational and interpersonal skills including customer relations and team working.

Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Housing requirementsAbility to inspect properties for safety, defects, and maintenance complianceAccess to a vehicle for use during work hours, mileage can be claimedPositive attitudeApproachable and great customer service skillsTo have basic IT skills. Desirable
