HGV Class 1 Night Drivers

Location – Chepstow NP16

Salary -

Nights £18.00 - £22.00 PER HOUR

Shift pattern, Sunday - Saturday

Must be able to work weekends so you could work Thursday - Sunday/Monday or Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday.

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Thursday to Sunday/Monday or Monday - Friday nights.

The role is completing a range of different class 1 roles, trunking, RDC to RDC, ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service.

Key tasks:

Delivering items to customers

Trunking

Nights 18.00 - 21.00 start times

Experience required/Personal attributes.

Duties:

- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations

- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment

- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)

- Clean driving record with no major violations

- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role

- Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers

- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

- Strong communication and customer service skills
