An exciting opportunity has arisen with a specialist contractor, who are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor. The role will cover specialised structural and civil engineering works across multiple sites, covering regions of Surrey and Sussex. The organisation has an extensive track record of successful operation in the UK, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the expanding health and safety team.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

Visiting site, assessing health and safety performance and implementing an effective audit planWorking with the wider health and safety team to ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresInvestigating accidents and incidents and identifying the root cause and carrying out toolbox talks, and training where requiredThe successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

Proven experience in a similar role ideally within civil or structural engineeringNEBOSH certificate (or equivalent)Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesA strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulationsThe position will include travel, therefore a valid UK driving licence is required.
