Due to the nature of the role & the industry you will be working in, you will be required to achieve UK SC Clearance

We are looking for experienced Systems Engineers to perform general systems engineering activities, which may include requirements development, modelling and simulation, Helpdesk support, Ship Support Visits, design activities, integration, and verification and validation.

Day to day you'll be looking after -

General Hardware engineering activities across the engineering lifecycleAct as the point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectivesMake engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authorityMaintaining a level of SQEP for the role through personal and professional developmentProduce reports of a technical nature or plans and present information to line manager, project management team and peersDelivering allocated tasks within budget and to timescales as agreed with the project management teamExperience we are looking for -

Hardware engineering activities including helpdesk support, ship support visits, delivery of hardware, installation of hardware on ships, development, design activities including documentation, integration, and verification & validation.Hardware Design and interconnectivity, Investigation and resolution of design issues as a result of obsolescenceCompetence and capability with Hardware engineering toolsDesign and build of the electrical and hardware system to achieve successful acceptanceA good understanding of the engineering lifecycleKnowledge and experience in COTS hardware, preferably with blade and PC technology. Experience with COTS cabinets, cabinet design, wiring schedules, power distribution etc. would be especially desirable
