Front Line Child Protection Senior Social Worker
Oxfordshire County Council are looking to expand their current team. The Front Line Child Protection team is looking for an Senior Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. This Front Line Child Protection Senior Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.
Front Line Child Protection Senior Social Worker Responsibilities Include:
Ability to support Social Workers to undertake complex social work assessmentsExperience of formulating support, protection and care plansAbility to negotiate with colleagues and partner agencies to resolve differences of opinionAbility to build effective, long lasting relationships with a range of service providers both from statutory and voluntary agenciesDetailed knowledge of the Children's Act 1989Detailed knowledge of the "Framework for the Assessment of Children and Their Families"Attending court and giving evidence when requiredInitiating and implementing child protection plansManaging packages of careUndertaking parenting and risk assessments
Requirements / Experience preferred:
Post qualifying experience of working as a Front Line Child Protection Senior Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.HCPC Registration1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industryEnhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)Eligibility to work in the UK.
