We are currently undergoing recruitment for our long-standing client in the Church Stretton area. This is a full-time position for an FLT Operative working on the night shift.

* Monday – Friday

* 18:00 - 06:00

* £12.00 per hour, plus £2.75 p/h shift allowance

Main roles and responsibilities:

* Safely operate forklift trucks to transport raw materials, components, and finished goods within the factory.

* Load and unload delivery vehicles, moving stock to appropriate storage areas and production lines.

* Organize and manage stock within the warehouse, ensuring the production line is adequately supplied with materials.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by properly storing pallets and minimizing clutter.

* Inspect goods for quality and damage before and after transport to ensure compliance with factory standards.

* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for self and others.

* Conduct daily pre-use checks on the forklift to ensure equipment safety and report any faults immediately.

* Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while operating in designated zones.

* Report any quality issues to the relevant team or supervisor for further investigation.

* Participate in general warehouse duties, including packing, labelling, and quality checking products when required.

* Support other operational departments with FLT-related tasks or general manual handling as needed.

* Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.

* Transport pallets to designated areas within the facility.

Skills and qualities:

* Valid Forklift License (Counterbalance)

* Previous experience in a similar role within a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is preferred.

* Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

* Ability to lift heavy items and work in varying temperature conditions.

* Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in a warehouse setting.
