Nelson Permanent Placements are representing an established compliance safety company who maintain, service & repair properties within the social housing sector across the UK. Due to growth within the business our client is looking for an Electrical Improver to join their team on a permanent basis around Milton Keynes, Essex, London, Stevenage, Bedford.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Minimum 2 years fire and electrical installations experience.

* Electrical qualifications.

* Emergency lighting experience.

* Electronics qualifications.

* Experience in door entry, warden call, security, CCTV.

* Fire qualifications covering BS5839-1

* Previous electrical experience required in domestic environment

* An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace

* A full UK driving licence

* A good level of IT literacy

Responsibilities:

* Testing fire alarm devices with solo/testifier kit or similar.

* Assist in fault finding.

* Understand the principles of a fire alarm system.

* Be comfortable installing devices and panels (install cable, containment, equipment, devices and 2nd fix) under the supervision of commissioning engineer.

* Be computer/technology literate to fill in paperwork.

* Driving to sites potentially across the country. Full clean driver’s license.

* Willing to occasionally work late to complete jobs and potentially stop away.
