Finance Officer - 6 month FTC
Salary: 36,000 per annum Working arrangement: 1-2 days a week on site (London)Holiday: 26 days annual leave (pro rata)
About the client
Morgan Law is seeking a Finance Officer for a Charity in the London area.
Accountabilities
Lead the day to day operations of the sales ledger function Responsible for ensuring invoices are raised on time and in line with agreements with fundersResponsible for the collection and recording of all non-rental income, in accordance with the charity's income and internal controls policiesMain point of contact for queries regarding non-rental income sales invoicesMonitor all cash transactions and ensure they are recorded on the Finance system on a timely basisWork closely with petty cash holders to ensure floats are being held and accounted for in accordance with the Charity's internal controls and proceduresTo lead on the day to day operations of the purchase ledger functionTo manage the preparation of the weekly payment run, ensuring that all due items are included Ensure accounts receivable and cash book on Nav, and other systems relevant to the role are used to the organisation's best advantage
Candidate Requirements
Part-qualified accountant or extensive and demonstrable experience in a variety of financial rolesExperience in the preparation of accounts to trial balance stage Credit control experienceExcellent IT skills, and an ability to identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation.Ability to use initiative, make sound decisions and prioritise effectively to ensure that outcomes are metA sound knowledge of and commitment to the implementation of financial controls to protect organisational resourcesCommitment to working in a manner, which promotes diversity and equality ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity and no one, suffers from discriminationCommitment to promoting an environment, which has the highest regard for the Health and Safety of othersExperience working for a charitable organisation (E)Campaign Timeline
