Fawkes & Reece South are working with a growing regional contractor who are seeking an Estimator. They work on civil engineering and groundworks projects on behalf of main contractors and private clients throughout the south of England. As a principal contractor they self-deliver on projects that are worth 2m to 6m based on both JCT & NEC contracts. Scope of works includes s278 works, roads, foundations, house drainage, deep drainage, brickworks, groundworks, hard landscaping, blocks, paving and superstructures etc.

The role is suitable for an Estimator looking for the opportunity to progress into a senior role that'll work alongside senior management. You will report directly to a director and your duties will include (but not limited to):

Assessments of potential projects all prior to tender reviews and submission of quotations

Preparing tender documents (take-Offs from drawings & Bill of Quantities)

Dealing with subcontract quotations

Attending pre-let and post tender interviews to discuss potential value engineering options

Handover of successful tender information such that the site teams are suitably briefed

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Experience using Causeway or any other estimating packages would be advantageous

Good understanding of first principles

Experience tendering on civil engineering or groundworks or infrastructure projects

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
