Main Purpose

As an Employability Trainer, you will play a crucial role in empowering our students to develop the skills and confidence necessary to excel in the workplace. You will have the opportunity to work both on-site and offsite within the community, fostering valuable connections with our referral partners.

Deliver consistently good or better teaching sessions, incorporating an effective range of learning strategies and technologies that enable outstanding learning outcomes Design, develop and maintain teaching resources to ensure the best experience for the learners. Maintain safe working practices and a safe environment for the learners Responsibilities

Co-ordinate employability skills programme delivery for a rolling caseload of students in a wide range of sector specific programmes. Such as, Business Administration, Customer Service, Hospitality, Adult Social Care, Digital Skills etc. Provide recruitment and selection support to build your caseload of students Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, working with them to raise their ambition and aspiration, ensuring they realise their full potential. Undertake all aspects of student assessment including initial assessments, internal verification and liaison with external verifiers and awarding bodies as required. Comply with the college s maths and English strategy, maintaining your ability to embed both subjects into your teaching practice. Work with colleagues responsible for student services to deliver an overall studentexperience, which engages, inspires and prepares students for the world of work. Work with the Team Leader and Quality to continually strive for excellence and improve standards. Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities foremployer engagement in the learning process. Support college marketing and recruitment activities to attract potential learners andimprove conversion rates. Must have access to own vehicle and be willing to travel. You are liable to undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required of you commensurate with your grade at your initial place of work or at any other College site

This opportunity is perfect for someone who is experienced in delivering employability programmes to students aged 16+ and to adults. As part of your role, you may be required to work some evenings and weekends.
