Your new company

You will be working for a major regional provider of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and security services for both the commercial and domestic sectors.

Your new role

You will be conducting maintenance, fault–finding, and diagnostics on existing systems and also installing new electrical systems, including lighting and heating.

Key Responsibilities:

Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing electrical systems in both domestic and commercial environmentsEnsuring the electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulationsUsing plans, wiring schematics and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete projectsDiagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault–finding, rewiring, testing and monitoringAssess and order the parts required for a job, completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the jobConduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standardsIdentifying electrical problems and repairing escalating problems as requiredEnsure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety standardsWhat you'll need to succeed

Previous experience of working as an Electrician or Electrical ImproverIdeally both your City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications or equivalent electrical qualifications (ECS Gold Card)City and Guilds Inspection and Testing Certificate (2391) (desirable)Working knowledge of IEE RegulationsIdeally able to demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirementsFull UK driver's licenceWhat you'll get in return

15–18 per hour depending on experience

Full–time – 07.30–16.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.30–16.00 Friday (40 hours per week)

Travel paid one way (return journey 10p per mile for return journeys greater than 25 miles)
