My client is a major regional provider of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and security services for both the commercial and domestic sectors.
Your new role
To carry out fixed wire Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's) on a wide variety of projects, to be able to spot faults with any systems and resolve them, along with any additional customer issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out inspection and testing on customer's electrical installations (EICR'S) including Emergency Lighting testing and remedial repairs as requiredComplete all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection and testingEnsure all reports and certification are completed and submitted on timeDiagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault–finding and rewiringAssess the materials and hours required to carry out repairs and feed back reports to the officeConduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial, industrial, agricultural and domestic electrical systems and ensure installations are to manufacturer's standardsEnsure good quality workmanship, which upholds Company standards, complies with building codes and follows safety requirementsWork alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit directionProvide exceptional customer service and answer customer queriesInstall electrical systems to current BSth
Edition Wiring RegulationsProvide professional assessments and advice for customersScheduled on the on–call rota, to attend sites and provide emergency electrical supportAny other electrical duties outside of core working hours, as requested by the ManagerWhat you'll need to succeed
SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 qualificationCity & Guilds 18th Edition qualificationCity & Guilds 2391/2394 and 2395 qualificationAble to demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirementsKnowledge of BS7671:th
Edition and 2:2022 RegulationsPrevious electrical experience of working in an electrical testing environmentFull UK driving licence
What you'll get in return
35–40k
Full–time – 07.30–16.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.30–16.00 Friday (40 hours per week)
Travel paid one way (return journey 10p per mile for return journeys greater than 25 miles)
