Job Description

Summary

I have a 21 yr old daughter who was diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome at birth. She is going to college from Worthing to Chichester during terms times. I am looking for a committed domestic personal assistant to support me in my home who could also potentially offer occasional respite care evenings, weekends, holidays if desired and you have the relevant skills or experience working with adults with learning and speech & language difficulties.

The work will involve general tidying, housework and cleaning and I am looking for someone reliable, organised, hygienic and tidy minded, preferably with experience whether professional or personal.

Candidate qualities:

Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
