Role: Caretaker Domestic Couple

Days: Monday-Friday (when Clients not IR)

Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm

Location: South Buckinghamshire

Salary: £60,000-£75,000 (neg. DOE)

Contract: Permanent

Start: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and flexible Domestic Caretaker Couple, for a Family in South Buckinghamshire at their Grade 1 listed property

The Caretakers’ duties will cover Estate Management and Housekeeping, overseeing the smooth proactive running of the household, and providing a security presence (ensuring the property is occupied during periods of absence by the Employer)

When the Clients are absent the working schedule will be 5 days per week (Monday-Friday); when in-residence working a half-day Saturday is also required (with time returned in lieu)

The Housekeeper will oversee cleaning of the Manor House (and a number of other lodges and outbuildings) to a high standard and will run laundry & ironing operations. They should also be able to cook simple food menus occasionally and so be comfortable in the kitchen. They will also manage provisions including regular shopping

The Estate Caretaker will coordinate external contractors efficiently, oversee regular Pool maintenance, and will have a good general technical/mechanical understanding. Regular Chauffeuring for airport runs, and vehicle valeting duties are also required. You should also be willing to undertake garden work (under supervision of the Head Gardener), with previous experience of using a Tractor being beneficial

The Couple will also oversee the general security of the estate, ensuring all alarms and CCTV are functioning

The Family have grown-up children who visit, and occasional Guests - so the Couple should be willing to assist in dinner-party food preparation and serving

The Pair should be dog lovers and ensure 2 small friendly dogs are adequately fed and walked (couples with their own animals are permissible)

Accommodation is a self-contained one-bedroom bungalow, with utilities covered (it should be noted that the entire estate is a non-smoking zone)

At least one shall maintain a valid UK driving license
Have valid passports
Be fluent in the English Language
Have valid DBS checks or be willing to obtain
Have excellent contactable references
Have 3-5+ years experience working as a Domestic Couple within a private household
