As a Data Science Lead, you'll lead on delivering technical solutions for Roke's National Security Customers, focussing on Data Services and defining novel technical approaches. Your teams will include a mix of technical abilities including data engineering, machine learning, cloud, DevOps and software engineering skills.

As a Data Science Lead, customer engagement will be a large part of your role, playing a key part in the customer consulting, presales and business development strategy; with the opportunity to prepare and contribute to technical proposals and bids.

The Key Requirements

Ideally experience in a number of areas, including some of the below;Designing and building scalable data platformsAnalytical techniques for extracting insight from a variety of data sourcesVisualisation of complex dataMachine learningAt least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++)DevOps techniques for supporting repeatable deployment and testingCloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)Experience with Agile and Agile leadership roles.If you do not meet all of the above, please still apply, as there are development opportunities available.

Where you'll work

You'll find our Gloucester site in a business park two minutes from junction 11A of the M5; The site allows easy access to our local customer base. Set on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, you are never far from a picturesque view or lunch time walk.

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 10 years.
