About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the absence of a teacher. You will manage the classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work that has been set. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience in education, are adaptable, and enjoy the challenge of working with different students across various subjects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage and supervise classes in the absence of a teacher.

- Ensure students stay focused and engaged with pre-set work.

- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

- Address classroom behavior and deal with any issues in line with the school's policy.

- Provide feedback to the relevant teacher on the students' progress.

**Requirements:**

- **Relevant Experience:** Previous experience in a school setting is essential. Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or other classroom support role is highly desirable.

- **Flexibility:** Ability to work across different year groups and subjects, adapting quickly to new environments.

- **DBS Check:** A valid DBS check on the update service is required or a willingness to obtain one before starting.

- **Strong Classroom Management Skills:** Confidence in managing a classroom, ensuring students stay on task and engaged.
