description	DC Personnel are recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join an established company based in Desford, Leicester LE9. A great opportunity to join a company who are experiencing a sustained period of growth. Permanent full time Hours: 7:30 - 16:30 Monday- Thursday and 7:30 - 12:30 Friday 39 hours paid weekly Pay: £12.50/hr As a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high quality parts and components. As a Machine Operator you will: • Have a background in engineering (ideal) • Operating 3 Axis Manual Milling machines and 4 Axis CNC • To program, set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components • Inspect parts and components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. • Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials (training will be provided). • Executing works orders to the required specified quality, accuracy and defined output rate. • Physical lifting required due to the nature of the product. • Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others. • Maintain working area to a high level of housekeeping. Knowledge & Skills: • Previous machinist experience • Engineering Level 2 and understanding of CAD is preferable. • Read and interpret technical drawings, use appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and gauges for each job • Workshop and production health & safety practices. Personal skills • Good time keeping • Good house keeping • Reliable team player • Able to multi-task • Ability to learn and develop new skills • Has a ‘can do’ approach • Accurate and with a good attention to detail • Ability to respond to short lead times requiring a flexible approach.
