Thrive Group are delighted to be working with a new well known client based in Chard, Somerset. We are recruiting for Christmas Packing Operatives on a temp contract at least until Christmas.

Responsibilities:

Liaise with Supervisors and Line Leaders on all product and packaging related concerns, carrying out tasks as directed

In Whole Cheese, responsible for monitoring relevant critical control point (CCP, Metal Detection) and, in the event of non–compliance, instigating the required corrective action in accordance with the appropriate work instructions to prevent the inadvertent release of non–confirming product to ensure food product safetyFamiliarisation with the operation of all packaging machines and line equipment within the departmentEnsure daily packing plan attainment targets are fulfilled on time through packing at the required speedComplete all relevant paperwork for the department and operation in accordance with the correct proceduresAssist the management team with on–the–job training when requiredDemonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects, including but not limited to, health and safety, performance, training, efficiency, waste and engagement

Skills Required:

FlexibilityTeam WorkingGood written and verbal communication in the business language (English)Good numeracy skillsManual handlingWorking Hours:

The Packing department will operate any 4 days out of 7 on the below shifts (fixed shift) :

6am – 4pm

8am – 4pm

10pm – 6am

Pre–Pack department will operate across 5 days (Monday – Friday) over the Christmas period :

6am– 2pm

2pm – 10pm

Pay Rate:

12.00 per hour Overtime enhanced during Weeks 45–49 inclusive to x2 after 40 hours basic worked – 24.00 per hourAttendance bonus 150

Own transport required due to clients location
