Children's Care Assistant - Hounslow

We are currently recruiting for a Children's Care Assistant to support children within an SEN centre based in Hounslow The role will be working full-time to support students with Special Educational Needs who are in need of personal care such as feeding, washing, dressing and some medicating. Some children will be wheelchair bound and non-verbal. The activities are within a centre.

The role will be based in a Children's Centre within Hounslow where most students will have 1:1 support if not 2:1 and will be in small groups. Although this role is predominantly 1:1, there will be support when needed but as a Children's Care Assistant, you will be required to support children without supervision when needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with disabilities within some vicinity; whether that's as a Support worker, Healthcare assistant, Teaching assistant or in personal life.

Requirements:

Either live in Hounslow or within a commutable distance

Have an enhanced child & adult DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one

Have experience as a Children's Care Assistant,

Must have SEN experience

Be comfortable doing personal care when needed If successful, you will be a Children's Care Assistant throughout the entire academic year with the potential of going permanent in the future. If not successful in this role then we may consider you for other roles in the Hounslow depending on your suitability and availability. Part time candidates are welcome to apply as we may get some supply work during busier times of the academic year.
