Children with Disabilities Social Worker (CWD)

North Somerset Council are looking to expand their current team. The Children with Disabilities team is looking for a Social Worker to join a well–structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills and potential progression within your team. This Children with Disabilities Social Worker role will be for an initial 3–6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Children with Disabilities Social Worker Responsibilities Include:

Strong ability to communicate with disabled childrenSupporting parents, carers and the siblings of disabled childrenCarry out relevant assessmentsCarrying our complex safeguarding risk assessmentsExperience of working in a multi–disciplinary environmentShort Breaks workRequirements / Experience preferred:

Post qualifying experience of working as a Children with Disabilities Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.HCPC Registration1–2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industryEnhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)Eligibility to work in the UK.
