Contract Manager – Main Contractor

Retrofit & SHTF Projects

Up to GBP68,000 + Package

My client, who are a national construction contractor who are currently recruiting for an Contract Manager to head up several new projects that they have won in London. All projects are within the M25 and you would be based out of their Head Office in Orpington

The Role;

Within this role, you will work along side the Contract manager ensuring P&L, budgets and deadlines are met. You would be responsible for ensuring the level of service and quality is to the highest standard as well as cost control, creating CPP & programming of works and budgeting. Implement strong H&S across all projects. Your direct team will include site management, supervisors, RLO's and sub – contractors. You will report directly in to the divisional director who will support you in making the contract a success.

The Candidate;

The ideal candidate will have extensive building knowledge and experience managing retrofit and contracts. If you have knowledge or have delivered retrofit projects this is also a bonus. Experience managing multiple site teams, strategically planning projects and an ability to problem solve in complex situations. A good knowledge of up to date legislations and strong organisational skills is also desired.

Having an ability to create a strong working environment, where everyone is working as a team to achieve targets and goals on the contract, as well as being able to build strong relationships with the client and your team members.

You must also have the following;

Strictly experience in retro fit, EWI/IWI/CWI, ASHPs, Solar Panels, Loft Insulation, Roofing, Heat pumps, ground pumpsIT skills are essential and you must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook and WordFull UK Driving LicenceBuilding or refurbishment related qualification of demonstrable experience. Health and Safety qualification required such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS etcLevel 3 Leadership & Management Qualification or equivalent or willingness to work towardsPrevious experience of working within the social housing sectorExperience of working to schedules of rate and knowledge of the NHF Schedule of RatesExperience of managing teams of operativesValid CSCS card (preferrable)The ideal candidate will ideally have a minimum of 10 years experience within the construction industryBe technically minded.Full UK driving licence.
