Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible serving practices.
Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and drinks.
Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management.
Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices.
Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
