ASD Teaching Assistant - Blackburn - October

Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced teaching Assistant to support a pupil at a primary school in Blackburn. The role will be full time, will start after the October half term and will continue for the remainder of the current academic year.

The school is a popular welcoming school that set high expectations across school and teach British Values and empower them to make the right choices in any situation. The pupil that you support has Autism and will require 121 support at times. For the rest of the week you will support the class and teacher with general duties as and when required.

The ideal candidate:

A recent graduate who wants work experience within Special Educational Needs

Experience of supporting young people with additional needs in particular Autism

Strong teamwork ethic

Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs

reliable, consistent and caring

The role will consist of:

Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs

Creating a safe environment that allows children and other students have fun, learn and succeed

Position Details:

Location Blackburn

Position ASD Teaching assistant

Minimum daily rate GBP90 per day

Full time Monday Friday 8.30am -4pm

Start date - October 24

End Date- July 25

To be considered for this role, you will have to register with Prospero Teaching and hold an enhanced DBS which is on the update service, unless you already have one.

Safeguarding training issued in the last 12 months (essential)

Prevent Awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential)
