Agricultural Engineer required. Our client is a long–standing family business that have been in the agricultural industry for over 100 years. They are now looking for an Agricultural Engineer due to the growth of the business. This will be for the Petworth depot.

Successful candidates will have previous experience in this field ideally in the agricultural, commercial vehicle or construction industry and can work on their own or as a team.

Agricultural Engineer Position Overview

Service and maintain machinery from a range of first–class franchises including CLAAS and Horsch to the manufacturers specifications and to ensure machine reliability and safetyHave a keen eye for detail, reporting machine defects and upselling the services provided by the company wherever possibleSuccessfully diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain and various other faults prior to initiating and completing a repairOperate diagnostic software via a laptop computer when required (training will be given)Complete a detailed report of work completed along with supporting photographs and documenting of all worked timesAny other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role.

Agricultural Engineer Position Requirements

3+ years experience in a similar position.Experience – knowledge and experience of a variety of machinery ideally in the agricultural, commercial vehicle or construction industry. Ideally, have a relevant qualification within the field of Land Based EngineeringMust carry a full driving licence as well as have the ability to operate machinery on site for testing purposes.Happy to work weekends when required during peak harvest season

Agricultural Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary: 25,000 – 45,000 per annum OTE based on experience, paid hourly.Working hours: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 4.30pm and Friday, 8am – 3.30pm with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break (basic 39 hour working week)Holiday Package: 24 days + 8BHPension – 3% employee contribution and 7% employer contributionLife Assurance including dependent's pensionOvertime available (Mon – Sat time and a half, Sunday – double time, bank holiday Monday – double time & day in lieu)Company VanOngoing training as requiredBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi–disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
