An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join a Channel Islands trust and fiduciary services company in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which is a British low tax haven, but which is not part of the UK.

Guernsey is a Crown Dependency, which is a separate jurisdiction from the United Kingdom, lying close to the north coast of France. Income tax is 20% flat rate and personal allowances are at c 13,000pa.

The successful candidate should be either experienced and qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA), or part-qualified with practical accounting experience.

Although your duties will fall within trusts and fiduciary services, you do not need to have experience in that sector. You will be working in a small team, preparing financial

statements and improving systems and processes across the company. You will also work on ad hoc projects. You will have good experience of IT accounting systems, understand IFRS and GAAP and be an excellent communicator.

You will have either UK or Irish nationality. Visas for overseas applicants that apply to the UK do not apply to the Channel Islands, which have their own immigration services.
