Vintage School Teacher’s / Pedestal Desk

A fantastic solid and heavy oak desk that looks very stylish and fits into any modern or contemporary setting.

Made from old oak, which has a beautiful rich colour and grain patination.

With plenty of storage and work space, the desk has three drawers to the right pedestal, a central knee hole drawer (with a front that turns down) and a very useful double height drawer to the left pedestal which files can be slotted in to.

Kneehole dimensions: 63cm High, 66cm Wide

Each drawer front has beautiful brass pull out handles that really enhance the whole piece.

There are a few small marks – only light, which I have tried to photograph but nothing of any obvious concern - the overall condition of the desk is excellent, as I look after my things.

I have had this wonderful work horse for many years and have used it every day and I shall be so sad to see it go, but having downsized, I just don’t have the room for it in my small flat. (Needless to say, the ornaments and items on top are not part of the sale!)

They really don’t make desks like this anymore; it is a solid, well made and substantial piece of furniture that will only get better with age. So much nicer to work than these flimsy modern MDF desks in my opinion and looks fabulous in either a modern or traditional room.

Wonderfully comfortable to work from - it may even inspire the novelist in you! ;)

Very heavy, will require two people to lift.
