MSR Responder Snow Shovel is light weight for a full length shovel, with the option for a 490 gram set up. The Responder shovel has a two section telescopic handle, which cleverly MSR have designed so you can use it in the compact length, the extended length, or leave one section at home for minimal pack weight.

The floor to handle length is 818mm so you won't have break your back to use it, or in minimalist (digging on your knees) mode 523mm.

Six holes facilitate use as a snow fluke and the large diameter shaft is easy to grip with gloves on.
