Overwater 4 String Custom Classic J Series - sunburst, what a sound!

This superb custom hand made bass is 18 years old and in very good condition.

It features a one piece maple neck and fretted rosewood fingerboard. The pick ups are traditional J style, with John East J Retro 01 pre amp electronics. The controls comprise of three stacked knobs and include an active blend circuit plus a 3 band equaliser with bass, var frequency mid, treble and bright function. The bass can also operate in passive mode too.

The bass has an attractive sun burst finish with 3 ply Pearl lid scratchplate. The bridge is stainless steel giving it an incredible resonance and sustain. The machine heads are schaller chrome vintage style clover tuners, and a hip shot d tuner has been fitted

The neck joint is a thing of beauty and the recessed bolts are so much better than the typical screw faced arrangement on most jazz basses.

The bass has serial 06/3283, dated 16th February 2006 and is signed on the back of the scratch plate by master luthier Chris May

Please note this instrument is second hand and will have some age related marks, this just adds to the character of the instrument. I will point all these out before a sale
