Rare and hard to find Jim Reed branded guitar, hand made in Italy, some say PRS like but I would say much closer to a Patrick Eggle Berlin model. These are hard to place in terms of price, not a well known brand but a really nicely made instrument with very decent specs (high end wilkinson trem and pickups).



Good condition, mainly home use for a rock tone. Take note of details in the description below. This guitar has been setup by Sam Deeks of reloved guitars (did a sterling job as always) and plays like butter.



Info on these is thin on the ground so I will try my best from what I can find, however the specs seem very decent :

CONSTRUCTION: Set-in neck

SCALE LENGHT: 634,4 mm

FINGER BOARD: Rosewood

NUT WIDTH: 43 mm

RADIUS: 305 mm

FRETS: 24

FRET MARKERS : Abalone

BODY: Mahogany + Tiger Maple top

BRIDGE: Wilkinson VS100

PICKUPS: Kent Armstrong 2 x HRO-1

CONTROLS: 1 V + Push Pool T + 1 T/G ( 3 way )



Things to note

The back neck carve is very comfy

Plays like butter

The body and back of the neck has had something acidic dripped on the finish creating circular shapes on the protective coat (see pics), this doesn’t affect the playabiltiy at all.

The kent armstrongs are good

The tuners seem to be unbranded but hold well

One of the setting/grub screws on the bridge needed dremelled to get it to turn as it had seized up
