Newer models apparently are not as good, not as sturdy, take longer to heat up, do not get as hot, do not do the job like the original, not a patch on the original, this is the original. I am including a safety heat bag which will take all the cable and plug, away tidily and safely, has a handy side pocket for combs and other accessories.
