Antique Victorian Period Piece.

French Obis Carriage Clock
Brass Cased & Bevel Cut Glass Panel Clock
in Dark Green Leather Bound Case with Brass Key
circa 1880.

We are delighted to offer this fabulous antique carriage. Obis French carriage clock with Ovis escapement top. White porcelain face, Roman numeral dial & bevel cut glass panels with oval cut glass top panel & swing over carry handle. Comes in an original dark green leather bound case with a lime green felt lining with brass key. The brass has a wonderful age related patination. This piece comes direct from a recent estate sale & is sold in superb as found antique condition. No chips, No cracks or repairs of any kind. Clock appears to keep good time but would benefit from a good service. The case has minor surface leather scuffs & wear, is missing it's carry handle & opening push button operates well. Overall in fabulous age related condition this stunning clock would make for a wonderful addition to any room setting or serious clock collection & displays very nicely indeed.

It's style & design are typical of it's period & would date nicely to the late Victorian period, circa 1880's.
