Fully working and used daily, very tall Welsh solid brass face eight day Grandfather clock circa 1809 - 1820 by Robert Jones of Ruthin who was trading in these years, ( Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World vol. 2 Brian Loomes ). The case which stands at 88 inches, width of 21 inches and depth of 9.5 inches, is of solid dark oak and there does not appear to have any woodworm in it. This is a genuine sale as we have now moved into a smaller property and very reluctantly one or two items need to be sold. The clock which was serviced a couple of years ago is used daily and keeps exceptionally good time and comes from a smoke free home. |
