Lotus Esprit S2.2, 1980. 40th of 60 built. Crossover from the S1 and S2 Esprit with the larger cc from 2.0l to 2.2l and the introduction of the fully galvanised chassis. Fresh Silver Diamond metallic with full red leather interior. Restored from 2017-2020 with full engine rebuild with new pistons, main and big-end bearings etc. Stainless steel 4 branch exhaust manifold. New clutch. Reconditioned radiator with new electric fans. Reconditioned water-pump. Aluminium header tank. Overhauled carbs. New aluminium fuel tanks. Chassis components stripped from chassis, shot blasted and powder coated and new Nylatron bushes fitted. New steering rack. New ball joints and track-rod ends. New AVO shock-absorbers and springs/seats. Refurbished alloys and 4 new tyres fitted in 2023. New front brake discs. Refurbished brake callipers. Braided steel brake hoses. Recent service history from South West Lotus Centre. Letter of authenticity and Certificate of Provenance from the Lotus Archives.
