1969 Jensen Interceptor MK1 - subject to full restoration.
Very rare MK1 Jensen Interceptor presented in Jet Black with red leather interior. UK home market right hand drive car.
Has been the subject of an extensive 3-year long restoration with no expense spared. Completed to a very high standard by specialist company Longstaff Refinishing and we have restoration photos in the file to show prospective buyers.
Only 1,033 MK1 Jensen Interceptors were produced, and we are led to believe that only 7 were built in the original Jet black, with this car being the last remaining genuine Jet black with red leather interior combination.
The exterior was subject to a full bare metal respray and it presents extremely well, in a smooth, glossy, and very clear finish. All the panels fit tightly and the gaps are spot on. The chrome wire wheels are in great condition and are fitted with matching tyres all round with plenty of tread. An additional set of Rostyle wheels shown will also come included with the car. All the exterior chrome has been re-done now looking as good as new. The seats had a full retrim and present beautifully with all new carpets and headlining fitted.
The original engine was fully rebuilt with new pistons, reskimmed head, new carburettor, new style power steering pump and reconditioned radiator fitted. The original gearbox was recently checked, serviced and new pipes fitted. Front axle has been reconditioned. New twin stainless steel full exhaust system which sounds amazing. New fuel tank, reconditioned suspension and new brake discs and calipers.
The odometer currently reads just a tad over 1,000 miles and we can confirm this was replaced, with the original showing circa 51,000 miles. The original odometer will be supplied..V5C states just 1 former keeper since new, the first owner owned the car for over 50 years.
Power-assisted Steering (PAS); Safety Belt Pretensioners; Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
About Us: Our promise: “We ensure you’ll find your ideal classic car.” Just moments from the M25, or a 23-minute train ride from London Liverpool Street and the City, our Fairmont Sports & Classics showroom team in Brentwood is committed to changing the way classic vehicles are bought and sold.
Classic models across the decades
Our stocklist – with new vehicles arriving daily – spans popular and iconic vehicles from the 60s through to the late 90s and beyond.
Over two floors we present a curated selection of more than 50 sports and classic cars – plus several motorcycles – all fully inspected, checked and ready to drive away, delivered, or shipped overseas.
We buy well so you’re not at risk
The buying team comprises seasoned motor industry professionals: our backgrounds span retail sales, fleet management, auction, wholesale, and service, inspection and maintenance. Having grown up with, driven and loved countless classics ourselves, we know what our customers look for: models and marques piquing current market interest; examples that are in excellent usable condition and order; and vehicles that represent a sound, good value investment.
An online portal search for any classic model will list several hundred vehicles across the UK. The unfortunate truth is that the vast majority, under scrutiny, will prove sub-standard, misrepresented or require uneconomic restoration or repair. Finding a good vehicle without motor trade experience is not for the faint-hearted.
We purchase our cars from private owners, collections and specialist auction houses. We are exceptionally selective about which vehicles we buy, when and why; we reject over 90% of all those we see. Those we purchase match varying customer demands: ‘best in market’ and fully original; fully or partially restored examples; and sound, practical, fun classics to be driven and enjoyed.
Whether you’re an investor, an enthusiast, or simply keen to recapture your youth, we’d love to help you find your ideal classic.
Warranty: We want every customer to be confident in their purchase. Whilst we sell nationwide, many of our sales are local, with some customers revisiting to buy, sell or service more vehicles.
To ensure a worry-free motoring experience, we include our own pre-owned vehicle warranty and provide full servicing and support on-site.
The price of every car includes a six-month warranty for major component failure: engine, transmission, and final drive. For the first three months, it covers the cost of any essential parts and labour. Thereafter we provide a 50% discount on any essential parts and labour for the remaining three.
We also operate our own on-site workshop offering specialist classic vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs. The same mechanics that inspected and prepared your vehicle for sale will be delighted to keep it in good working order throughout your ownership.
