Our 2018 Suzuki Ignis is a high spec SZT model which has had 2 former keepers and covered 51k miles from new. This pretty car has an excellent specification and is a thoroughly modern and individual design. Suzuki describe this car is a mini-SUV and it certainly benefits from the higher driving position and superb view out that you get in an SUV, but it is also compact enough to compete with city cars and superminis.
The SZT spec of this car is one of the top models in the range and so our car is laden with luxury goodies that are more commonly seen on executive saloons than compact hatchbacks. Power comes from an 88bhp, 1.2 litre Dualjet engine which is compact, but delivers a mighty punch. As a result the Ignis successfully combines 57 mpg fuel economy with excellent performance. With 5 doors and a surprisigly good sized boot, the Ignis is a more spacious offering than its rivals. In many ways this car is that sweet spot where it's roomy enough for 4 adults, but compact enough you will always be able to park it with confidence (especially as ours has a superb reversing camera). It feels a more premium and grown-up alternative to a regular supermini.
STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD;
One of the main attractions of this car has to be its looks. There are retro styling cues, such as the slats on the rear 1/4 pillar and the front grill, then there are the flared wheel arches which ooze cool, and the aluminum roof rails which add to the SUV look. Its undeniably cool and, in my opinion, one of the prettiest and most original car designs currently on sale - It will not be mistaken with any other car and that in itself is a massive plus point these days - I wish more manufacturers would take a leaf out of Suzukis book and dare to be different.
Our car is finished in Fervent red with the factory option of a black roof, complimented by black, 16" alloy wheels. I am having the wheel centre caps renewed prior to sale as a couple appear to have gone missing. Inside the car has a surprisingly spacious, surprisigly luxurious 2 tone interior in grey and cream. The retro theme of the exterior is continued inside but with a very functional approach which is laden with tech.

First impressions of the Ignis are that this is a well-built, attractively designed and well appointed hatchback, which combines practicality with superb styling. It is very very easy to drive, with excellent visibility and light power-steering. ABS brakes and traction control ensure the Ignis is safe and controllable in all driving conditions. The 1.2 litre DualJet engine is a proper 4 cylinder and is ntably smoother than its rivals. This car may be small but thanks to its 88bhp powerplant, it is great fun to drive. Performance is excellent with sure-footed handling and sharp, direct steering. Indeed the Ignis is a car which you would happily drive all day on the motorway thanks to its excellent refinement and performance.
I would recommend a test drive of this car to truly appreciate its practicality and versatility. The condition really is as new - I could not find a single imperfection on this car - It is a credit to its former keeper. It really does need to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated...
● CONDITION;
The Suzuki is a clean and bright car with un-marked coachwork that has a deep, glossy finish. A few of the wheel centra caps were missing so we have new ones going on for the new owner. The cars interior is clean and tidy with all trim in excellent condition and odour free. The overall condition is superb - Typical of a much loved, well looked after car. It will stand head and shoulders above other examples you will see elsewhere.
