This rare, and highly desirable Lexus SC430 - Lexus' superb GT, convertible which was produced back in the early noughties. This is a true modern classic which is very useable and fun to drive, but quirky enough to make heads turn wherever you go... It's designed to be smooth, quiet and luxurious and it is one of the most relaxing open-top experiences you can have, thanks to its silky smooth, near silent V8 and subtle ride.
Lexus have always been famed for their quality and the SC430 is no exception. This car was years ahead of its time and so is crammed with technology which is now 21 years old, but still working perfectly. The interior is a masterpiece, with plenty of wood and leather, huge comfortable front chairs and a clever touchscreen (way ahead of its time in '03) which can be hidden away by a wood panel that glides into place at the touch of a button. This feature is reminiscent of what you get in a modern Bentley, but Lexus were already doing this 21 years ago - and the similarities don't end there - The side profile of this car is very Bentley-esque being reminiscent of a Continental GTC (and before you say Lexus probably copied Bentley, can I remind you that the SC430 was launched 1st - See, way ahead of its time!!).

Step inside one of the most well appointed interiors of its time... The SC430 has a generous specification which includes a touch-screen navigation system, heated leather seats with electric memory function and reverse parking sensors. You sit in generous, yet supportive seats which are trimmed in luxurious, soft leather and are electrically heated with full electric memory adjustment for the driver. Ahead is a 3 spoke multifunction steering wheel which is also trimmed in leather and has an electric steering column, which moves upwards and inwards to allow easy access for the driver. The dashboard layout is modern and uncluttered, yet laden with hi-tec luxuries to make life behind the wheel as stress free as possible. This is a genuine 91k mile car which is in superb, unblemished condition. The metallic silver colour looks fantastic and suits the cars sculpted body perfectly. 18" alloy wheels give this car a purposeful stance, and despite some minor marks on them, they still look good and are totally original (as is the entire car). This is a car which looks equally good with the roof up or down - And that roof can be raised or lowered in seconds at the mere touch of a switch. Once closed, the Lexus feels like a regular hard-top coupe. The roof seals perfectly so you do not get the wind noise you experience in other convertibles and you certainly do not get any water ingress whatsoever - This makes it the perfect convertible for the UK weather! With the roof raised you also have a good sized boot - meaning the SC430 is perfect for long trips away...
Being Japanese this is a car famed not just for its luxury, but also for its reliability. Lexus as a brand are always rated head and shoulders above their rivals in this field and the SC430 is testament to their engineering excellence. It is hardly surprising that the Lexus is full of neat touches to make life on the move as stress free as possible. It has to be one of the smoothest drives of any car I've driven. The near-silent V8 engine, mated to the auto gearbox makes for silky smooth power delivery. There is also a superb cruise control function and xenon headlights. A truly desirable and sought after machine. Our Lexus has left me deeply impressed and is certainly one of my favorite cars to pilot on a long journey as it offers such fantastic luxury and comfort. Wherever possible I would appreciate you can take delivery, or collect your car within 7 days as space is at a premium. However I understand that this is not always possible and can hold cars longer by request.
