Soon to be available, this wonderful Ferrari F355 Spider, finished in Blu Tour de France with Crema Leather interior. Among the many changes made to the 355 over the 348 was the introduction of a 5 valve cylinder head. This new design allowed for better intake permeability and resulted in an engine which was more powerful than its predecessor. The 355 Spider debuted in 1995, its Pininfarina styling honed by 1,800 hours in the wind tunnel, resulted in a blend of elegant style and aerodynamic performance. For the first time on a Ferrari the semi-automatic soft top was powered electronically. Initially, the Spider was offered with the F1 transmission available as an option. The Spider proved to be the second most popular F355 model, with a total production of 3,843 units, of which just over 2,000 were produced with the 6-speed manual transmission and approximately 1,000 were produced with the F1 transmission. Said to be one of the best looking Ferrari’s ever produced, the 355 boasts an iconic 90’s design which still to this day is incredibly popular. We were pleased to source and purchase this car direct from the previous owner. It formed part of a collection of cars and has seen very little use in his eight year tenureship with just a few hundred miles covered to keep things in fine fettle. Upon our collection and assessment, the car went to SMDG Engineering for a full commission and cambelt service. At this time the engine bay was detailed which included the cam covers being sent away to be repainted in the correct crinkle red paint and then replaced with new camshaft seals. The correct Bridgestone SO1 tyres have been fitted on refurbished wheels with new badging. Anything whatsoever required has been completed at this time. This very original and straight car now presents incredibly well both cosmetically and mechanically. It comes complete with the original toolpack and service pack detailing service work by a combination of Main Dealers and Specialists at 1,324 miles, 5,905 miles, 10,095 miles, 12,431 miles, 16,890 miles, 20,990 miles, 24,249 miles, 25,131 miles, 25,911 miles, 26,306 miles, 28,939 miles, 32,183 miles, 33,979 miles, 35,339 miles and 35,626. We also have a file of invoices which come with the car. With purportedly just 137 F1 Spiders produced in RHD, prices will surely continue to go up. Not many investments are this much fun! |
