1989 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit. Windsor Blue metallic with Magnolia Hide upholstery with blue piping, Royal blue carpets and lambswool over rugs. Based on the Silver Shadow II, the Silver Spirit and its long-wheelbase counterpart, the Silver Spur, were announced in the autumn of 1980. Rolls-Royce's familiar and dependable 6,750cc V8 power unit remained unchanged, but significant improvements were made to the newcomers' self-levelling rear suspension and the styling too came in for revision, with a lower waistline, increased glass area and a more modern angular look; rectangular headlights graced the front of a Rolls-Royce for the first time, and the oft-changed radiator became wider and squatter. Inside, the Crewe firm's exemplary standards of equipment and finish were maintained. Supplied new by H.R Owen on 23rd March 1989 and covered just 56,000 miles from new. A beautiful car that has had absolutely no expense spared throughout its life and maintained to the highest possible standard with a very impressive history file accompanying it. H.R Owen maintained the car for the first 13 years before Ghost Motor Works took over the maintenance for the next few years. In 2018 the car was sold to its most recent family owners who entrusted the Rolls to Hillier Hill renowned Rolls Royce and Bentley specialists who have maintained the car regardless and there are invoices on file for this period totalling over £21,000. All of the original books are still present including a fully stamped service book and leather wallet, a huge portfolio of bills, invoices and old mot certificates and amazingly a full file of all construction, build and test records from the factory. The condition of the car speaks for itself and is presented in outstanding condition throughout and still retains its full original tool kit, rear foot rests and over rugs. Mechanically the car is as equally impressive driving as only a Rolls Royce should with an elegant and graceful ride. Every Rolls-Royce exudes an unmistakable presence on the road, and this Silver Spirit, with its remarkable condition, low-mileage and impeccable care embodies this characteristic to the fullest.
