Dad is 85 now and although hes fit, able and still driving, he feels its time to move her on.He writes:The car for sale is a Tempest built by John Box & Ian Foster who started selling kits to go on four-wheel Reliants.It is one of three cars they built themselves from a NEW Reliant chassis and running gear.John Box was an engineer employed as a consultant by Reliant.The body is aluminium and fibreglass on a galvanised chassis.This Tempest TT competed in long-distance trials (Lands End, Exeter, Edinburgh etc.) successfully for about 5-6 years and is the white car shown in the Tempest Brochure!I purchased the car in 1996 and have meticulously maintained and loved it for all that time. Pictured is everything mechanically I have done to it over the years. |
