Here at RFH Classics we are pleased present this exceptional example of a 1989 (G) Austin Mini Thirty Special Edition, which has undergone an extensive restoration. Originally finished in the signature Flame Red this car was transformed by its penultimate owner in 2015 and is now presented in the stunning Porsche Oak Green Metallic with a contrasting White roof. While not original, the new colour combination gives the car a striking and distinctive appearance. The paintwork has held up very well over time and the bodywork is in excellent condition. The look is enhanced by polished edge Gold Superlite Minilite-style alloy wheels, fitted within the last six months and all paired with matching tyres. Additional touches, such as bullet style door mirrors and the period correct Thirty side stripes complete the exteriors refined yet sporty aesthetic.

During the restoration we are led to understand a number of tasteful upgrades to enhance the performance were done under the bonnet whilst retaining the car's original 998cc engine including a Stage 1 Mini conversion featuring a manifold upgrade and stainless steel exhaust system. Further additions include a carburettor upgrade, an aluminium radiator conversion, sports air filters, a water shield along with Red coolant hoses that add a touch of style to the engine bay. The suspension has been upgraded to now feature adjustable shock absorbers and a new fuel tank has been installed. Practical modifications such as the bonnet hinge upgrade for improved engine bay access, have also been made. To add a touch of flair, a single Steve McQueen style front fog lamp has been fitted and the grille modified for easier servicing access.

Inside, the car retains the original Mini Thirty seats, which are complemented by a fresh replacement carpet for a cleaner, more modern feel. The dash pod has been upgraded with Green Cooper dials and the interior door furniture has been updated to further enhance the cabins overall appeal. This beautifully restored and upgraded Mini Thirty is a standout example of an iconic model, combining classic charm with thoughtful enhancements. An excellent opportunity to own a truly special car, it's ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
