An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated HR Adviser to join a dynamic team, providing vital HR support across the business. This role is essential in ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied effectively, supporting managers and employees in all HR-related matters. The successful candidate will split time between the Southend office and home, offering flexibility in work arrangements.

Responsibilities

In this role, the HR Adviser will:

Offer 1st and 2nd line HR support, guiding managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practicesEnsure that HR policies comply with UK legislation and are regularly updatedMaintain accurate HR records, providing reports and analytics to inform management decisionsLead or participate in HR projects, including process improvement initiativesAdminister monthly and annual payroll activitiesTake on additional HR tasks as required to support the broader teamSkills and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in HR, along with:

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience in employee relations case managementPractical experience in streamlining policies, HR metrics, and payroll administrationExcellent communication skills, with confidence in advising managers on HR issuesA professional, commercially minded approach to HR and a passion for changeHigh levels of organisation, motivation, and teamwork, with close attention to detail and accuracyUnderstanding of the importance of confidentiality in handling sensitive employee dataQualifications
