NXTGEN is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a small but great cultured Accountancy firm located in Norwich. As an Accounts Assistant, you will benefit from one-on-one mentorship from experienced team members and receive hands-on support from Managers who are committed to ensuring growth and development. This position offers a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience across a broad range of accounting functions. You will be involved in activities such as preparing accounts for various clients, supporting VAT and Tax Returns, and contributing to the Bookkeeping function for a specialised client base. As your skills evolve, you'll have the chance to take on more responsibility and advance your career.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of accounts for a diverse range of clients.

Support the production of VAT and Tax returns.

Assist with Bookkeeping tasks.

Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.

Provide prompt assistance with clients' ad hoc queries.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in an Accountancy practice or a similar setting is preferred.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
